Home to bed but what a day

Lots of pictures today even though it was mostly spent indoors.  Spent the first three hours at the Union County Museum.  Met Ola Jean Kelly an amazing woman who describes herself as a banker learning to be a historian.  Her energy and curiosity and genuine interest is a gift to all who visit I’m sure.  Great staff too.  I saw the toothpulling pliars that James Moseley, my GGGgrandfather made.  Also discovered a description that might lead to figuring out where John Foster lived – a mystery so far.

Dr. Bobby Moss is a professor and author who lives near Blacksburg.  I met with him for four hours and not only talked with him but we went through his extensive records all card-cataloged.  An amazing man with remarkable knowledge.

On the way there and back I travelled through the Grindal Shoals area where Moseleys and Fowlers lived (possibly Fosters too).  Also passed over Sandy Run (very near where James Moseley lived and near his gravesite), Thicketty Creek, Cherokee Creek also possible Foster residences.

Pics and more stories in the morning, I am bushed.
