There has been a sleepy time of quiet satisfaction and reflection after visiting South Carolina. The blog page has been untouched by me until today. This fall Julie Anne McRae, my colleague at the AWNA and web designer extraordinare, has drastically improved the look of the page and it’s ability to display photos. The content was dumped into the new format and has stayed that way thanks to my hibernation until now.

By “now” I mean the arrival of an inquiry from a decendant of the Jasper family made in a comment on one of the posts on my site. In one small message the potential of this site came to life – thanks Shannon. I intended that it would be a place my family members near and far might enjoy but it excites me to know that others I never dreamt to attempt to contact might step forward out of the mists.

So. If anyone is watching over the next period of time, you will see the content magically begin to organize itself as I get things catagorized in the backgroud and JA tweakes the things that needs tweaking. Once things are more organized, I will launch the site with postings everywhere. I am looking forward to that.
